The world's worst photofit? NYPD issues image of Catwoman robber stalking streets of Manhattan
New York police are hunting a feline felon who robbed a high-end shoe shop while wearing a Catwoman mask.
But the search for the mystery woman is unlikely to be helped by the release of what is quite possibly the world's worst photofit.
CCTV footage shows the woman slinking into the shop and browsing among the heels for half-an-hour before donning her mask and approaching the counter.
As the footage is so grainy, police have also issued a bizarre black and white image of the mask worn by the robber.

The brazen thief then handed a note to the cashier informing her: ‘Give me the money. I have a gun.’
After cramming the cash – just $86 in this instance – into her bag, she calmly strutted out the door, following the incident on Thursday.
The female bandit is being linked by police to two other crimes in the Queens area, which were committed by a woman in a similarly bizarre disguise.
The very next day, a woman whose head was wrapped in a black scarf leaving only her eyes visible, slipped a similarly threatening note to a sales assistant in a beauty shop.

The thief, who has been described as having ‘amber eyes’ slunk off with $500 this time, the New York Post reported.
Another up-market shoe shop was robbed by a woman in a similar disguise last year.
A burkha-clad thief struck a 9 West store in April last year, making off with $500.
The suspect is believed to be of middle eastern origin, in her 20s and around 5ft 7 tall.
