Hey all! I'm brand spankin new to the Futurama message board here, and I just wanted to start off with a big fat hello and a little something of my own fan art. It's technically not mine, but is on my body, so I thought I would share.

and this is what it looked like after my very first session:

Hope you like it!

Fans these days have taken the obsession to a new level

I'm afraid of needles so I'll just stick to watching it again and again like how I would normally do.

I'm afraid of needles as well, but only if they are injection needles. The needles they use for tattooing are teeny tiny and only puncture the first few layers of the skin.
I'm all about watching it too, I just like looking at it while I'm not at home I guess :D

Uh huh. Judging from your tattoo, I can only imagine the number of times the teeny tiny needles punctures your skin. Probably within the range of 8 digits. :p

Having gotten a tattoo, I can tell you that it's not a continual jab jab jab, like someone sticking you with a knife.  Think of it more as writing on your skin, except with a needle.

That full sleeve is pretty awesome.

That is incredible... I love Futurama, but would be too scared to get something this big on my arm... I would love a Futurama tattoo of some description. Would be hilarious to get the tattoo from Bender's Big Score :P

Wow. I got the Zoidberg skull & clawbones from Bender's Game (above the exit from the Cave of Hopelessness) and thought that was a big deal. You win. You win everything forever.

It depends on how tolerant you are to pain and where you get it. Areas like the foot that doesn't have much cushion between the skin and bone, hurts much more than say the forearm that has alot of fat and muscle. Honestly, I found it more painful the longer it took, as the repeated stabbing began to add up after awhile.

I've always considered getting a Futurama tattoo, but not one as big and crazy as TheBjorkDork's... Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's amazing. :D

That's insanely cool-looking. As much as I like Futurama, I don't like tattoos, so I wouldn't ever get something like that. Also, there's the ever so slight chance that I won't like the show anymore at some point.

But regardless, awesome tattoo. :D

Why's that so strange Danny? I probably will like Futurama for a long time, but just in case I don't, I'd rather not have a mural on my arm. Do you really think everyone here will still love Futurama at the age of 85?

Danny, people grow out of things.

Just a few years ago I thought The Mighty Boosh was one of the best comedies of the last decade. Now I find it hard to watch because I find Noel Fielding's inability to act too jarring.

When I was a tiny bit younger than that, I thought SpongeBob SquarePants was a work of genius whereas now I see it as nothing more than a decent kids show that I could happily sit through whilst being nothing hugely special.

And then there's the ex-girlfriends.

My point is that you can be completely dedicated to something one minute and have a completely different opinion later on in life without that rendering how you feel now any less valid.

My opinion on the tattoo is that it's cool, but it also makes me question why anybody would do that to themselves. I mean. I wouldn't get a tattoo because I don't really like them and I have a lot of problems with the sorts of tattoos most people tend to get, but at the same time... why would you want that on your arm? I just don't understand it. I never have done.

And Danny, before you start, I don't think that it makes me less of a fan because I don't want Futurama tattoos. I know people with Day of the Dead skulls tattooed onto their arms that have no idea what the things are. Does that mean that they're more connected with Mexican culture than say a Mexican that's celebrated Day of the Dead every year of their life?
