Leather Bag - Dragon

Saturday, April 15, 2006

Leather is a material created through the tanning of hides, pelts and skins of animals, primarily cows. Leather was a very important clothing material, due to its excellent abrasion and wind resistance. And now speaking about leather look what this youngman has.

This is one of the most creative bags I've ever seen, just take a look and convince yourself.Do you know any original bags ? Post your comment.

Ok, check this: RED Leather, and then use a black polish and lightly shade it, then seal the leather (water treat it).

Black is kick ass, but a Red Drag is awesome:).

That bag is great! Nice job on all details but one... c'mon now... You need a real model ...at least a girrrl! Suicide Girrrls would work nicely! Wait! Before you say anything... yes, I'm a man. However, I did run this by several roomates and friends who happen to be women and they agree. Lose the frumpy guy, insert hot chick. I've a few that are willing to pose for you!

Beautiful bag, great workmanship, very creative. Keep it up. If I had whatever umptyodd dollars to spare the creator is charging (which likely don't even begin to make up for the hours and materials) I'd buy it and wear it everywhere. It's a work of art, and you can tell partly because it generates contempt from Philistines.

Its a cool looking bag, but I would probably never use it- not because Im afraid Id get mugged by D&D haters, but because it looks really impractical. I bet you cant really put much crap in it and having that dragon head on your shoulders all day must get fkn annoying, looks pretty hot though.

Hahaha reading the list of comments was so funny.

I think, and I apologise for getting flamey here, that it's quite easy to tell the relative ages/mental ages (from which you can have a stab at IQ) from people's posts on these things. Some people try to come up with reasoned arguments and well-thought out rebuttals. These posters also tend to have a higher writing age, a better writing style. Others find it sufficient to say "your [sic] all gay". Funny how they always seem to fall on one side of a debate. Well, argument.

Seriously, to "Anonymous" and B. Stabby, accept that there are tastes, styles and veiwpoints out there beyond your own. Then learn the adage, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything", and then learn to adhere to it.

Ok, I'm done troll-baiting.

Great bag, no, awesome bag. It _is_ a work of art. I want it. Give it to ussss.

That bag is rubbish mate. It's hardly a great idea, you see nerds walking around with animal back packs all the time.
People who dress like that tell strangers how mad and crazy they are when the real reason behind there "Goth look" is the horrible thought of becoming like exactly like there parents. Wearing bags like that is a statement and an identity in its self, and is not and individualist non conform look.

Rubbish Bag.

I think I aggree with pretty much EVERY ONE on this bag, I for one wouldn't be seen dead with it and would never even contemplate buying it.

But I still Dig it. it's an interesting peice, it's by no means practical to the masses, but it has been thought out and well crafted with a certain buyer in mind.

Put it on a 10 year old and they're the coolest kid in the park, put it on a Teenager and they get the shit knocked out of them. what the fuck?

Add me to the list of those who wouldn't buy it but definitely admire it for its originality. It's beautifully done as well.

The fact that it inspires such passionate admiration as well as fervent hatred is reason enough to mass market it.

Besides, I'd much rather see someone with something original like this than the millions of Gap and A&F clones you see daily EVERYWHERE.

2:32 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

*I* want one of these things, and I admit that with two disclaimers:

1. I am not now, nor was I ever, goth. I have nothing against that way of life, I just choose not to partake in it. In fact, I find gothics some of the most down-to-earth and interesting people.

2. I would wear it merely as a costume piece, as some people have suggested.

I'm no D&D or Comic-con nerd, but I AM one of those nerds that dresses up for the Renaissance faires. Ever been to one of those events? Weird, man. Almost anything goes, and that includes grim reapers and angel wings.

This "draco-bag" would fit in perfectly in such an environment.

Is it impractical? It sure looks like it, which is why it would make a most excellent prop, and nothing more.

I mean, jeez, for the pure fact that something *that* expensive could possibly get ruined, I can't imagine anyone using it as an everyday bag. There's tons of "functional" shit out there that was ultimately created to be unfunctional.

And for those of you ripping on creativity, can't you just accept art for art's sake?

Finding something like this online almost makes up for the hours wasted in front of the computer.

Besides, reading the comments was just as much fun as finding the bag in the first place.

I do however have a few questions for other people who have commented before:

1. Why would you associate this sweet bag with rpgers? goths I can see, but D&D fans?

2. What is the point in putting down other people's ideas of creativity? How would you feel putting over $1000 and countless hours into something you wanted to do and have ignorant idiots put you down for it? So you don't like it, that's fine. Everyone is allowed their opinion, but you could at least appreciate the effort the cerator has put into it.

3. This isn't really a question, but an idea would have been to have it's mouth as the opening to put stuff in.

11:36 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Now seriously, if they had gotten some young, slutty model to do this photo shoot, the people who hated the bag would be drooling over wanting one. I personally love it for the creativity. If I could come up with an idea like that I would spend money on it just because it would give me a sense of accomplishment and I'd be proud of it. Thats why people draw and write and post their work on the internet it it not? They are proud of it. Heck, I would be showing it off if I made something like this.

Im sorry, that bag really is Kitch. If you want to be a cliche geek then buy it, if however you arent 27, live in mum and dads basement, have a job, and dont honestly believe all of live issues can be solved by "stepping out" of your box and being stared at (for reasons, which you think are cool, which as you will find out when you grow up, you were the object of everyones muse) - then you are much smarter than these guys!

well, lets see here:

I am a jock. And by jock that includes football (the american one), rugby, MMA, and other such things. I'm also a geek (science, comics, d&d, you know the drill.)

So, I seem to be the medium with with to judge this bag.

Conclusion: Awesome. Simply the fact that he not only took the time to draw up the plans for this (and the time that wouldve taken) but who the hell sits around and thinks, "You know: today I think I'll make a backpack that looks like a dragon; wings and all."

And for the one's saying youd never get laid wearing this: boys you are so wrong its hilarious. I also cosplay (look it up sometime), and the amount of women, into it and not, that want to see a guy in less than normal clothing is astonishing. Not to mention the 3 trenchcoats and fetish-wear I own. And then theres the Pac-Sun clothing and stuff from various stores like AE and Express.

So all in all this is amazing. Props to the bag-maker. And a very loud "Booo!!!" to all those thinking this wouldnt get you laid.

*Note: Im not talking about getting laid by the town bicycle, like most of the ones here saying it wouldnt get you laid are. Poor idiots, the worlds full of em.
